  Golden Gingerbread


1 ¼ c flour
5 Tblsp butter, softened
¼ tsp baking soda
 ½ c superfine sugar
 pinch salt
 2 Tblsp maple syrup or Karo syrup
 1 tsp ground ginger
 1egg yolk, beaten
 1 tsp ground cinnamon 


Blend flour, baking soda, salt, spices, and butter in food processor. Add sugar, syrup, and egg yolk. Mix to firm dough. Wrap and chill for at least 30 minutes.
 Roll out and cut out cookies. Bake at 350° for 12 min.

 This is a great dough for rolling and cut outs.
