Peanut Butter Blossoms
- 1-3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 2 Tblsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 48 unwrapped Hershey's kisses
Combine peanut butter, shortening, milk, egg, & vanilla and beat
until smooth. Add flour sugar, brown sugar, soda and salt. When mixed
shape into 48 small 1 inch balls. Bake on cookie sheets covered with
baking parchment. bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Top with Hershey's
kisses immediately after removing from the oven. Press kiss firmly into
cookie. Place on wire rack to cool.
