Peanut Butter Blossoms

  • 1-3/4 cup flour  
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tblsp. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 48 unwrapped Hershey's kisses

Combine peanut butter, shortening, milk, egg, & vanilla and beat until smooth. Add flour sugar, brown sugar, soda and salt. When mixed shape into 48 small 1 inch balls. Bake on cookie sheets covered with baking parchment. bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Top with Hershey's kisses immediately after removing from the oven. Press kiss firmly into cookie. Place on wire rack to cool.
