Poinsettia
Use tip #74 (for larger flowers use tipe #75 or 76).
On a #7 rose nail pipe 4 petals in a cross position (fig A)
Add 4 more petals between the first four (fig B).
Add 5 shorter petals in the center to form a star shape (fig C).
In the center of the star add a series of green tip #2 dots and
on top of those add a yellow # 1 dot (fig D)
Pine Needles
Pipe tip #3 needles on wax paper and let dry.
Peel off and arrange on cake.
Make poinsettia and pine needles from royal icing.
Make flowers at least 24 hours ahead of time.
This flower must be completely dry before removing from wax paper squares.
Use powdered red coloring and super red or super chinese red.
Make your icing at least 2 days before needed - the older the icing
the darker the icing.
